FE Data Diagnostic

The starting point. Answer a structured set of questions — individually, or as a team across different roles — and receive a prioritised diagnostic report that identifies where your data is working against you, and what to do about it.

Designed to surface the issues that are often invisible from the inside: whether your data is genuinely trusted, where reporting is creating noise rather than clarity, and what's standing in the way of confident decision-making at every level of your organisation.

  • Multi-respondent — Principal, MIS lead, curriculum managers and others respond independently
  • Dynamic and branching — questions adapt based on role and responses
  • Cross-respondent analysis — surfaces contradictions and blind spots across the leadership team
  • Prioritised findings — a ranked action plan, not just a list of issues
  • Free or very low cost — the natural entry point to the Sagacity product suite

ILR Analysis Tool

Upload your Individualised Learner Record (ILR) file and instantly understand where your Qualification Achievement Rates stand and where your funding position is at risk — before the ESFA tells you either.

The ILR is not just the basis for QAR calculations — it is the basis for every funding claim your college makes. Errors in eligibility coding, co-investment recording, or funding stream attribution carry two distinct financial consequences: the risk of clawback from audit, and the loss of funding you are legitimately entitled to but not claiming. This tool finds both.

  • Indicative QAR calculation using published ESFA methodology, benchmarked against national averages
  • Funding eligibility checks across all streams — 16–19, 19+ adult skills, apprenticeships, high needs/EHCP, Advanced Learner Loans, and subcontracted provision
  • Clawback risk flags — identifies eligibility and coding errors before an ESFA audit does
  • Under-claiming detection — surfaces legitimate funding entitlement that is currently being missed
  • High needs/EHCP banding accuracy — flags where Element 3 claims may not reflect actual provision delivered
  • Data quality flags — errors affecting published QARs identified and prioritised
  • Demographic breakdowns aligned to Ofsted's inclusion domain — achievement by ethnicity, disability, disadvantage and more
  • Recommended actions ranked by urgency and financial impact

Ofsted Readiness Tool

How would your college look in a deep dive tomorrow? Built around the new Further Education and Skills (FES) inspection framework — including its new standalone Inclusion and Equity domain — this tool helps you identify gaps before an inspector does.

The most common inspection weaknesses in FE are well-documented. This tool checks your evidence base against those patterns and surfaces the areas most likely to attract scrutiny, giving you time to address them on your own terms.

  • Aligned to the new FES Inspection Framework (targeted September 2025 rollout)
  • Covers all six inspection domains, with particular depth on the new Inclusion and Equity domain
  • Surfaces the ten most common inspection readiness gaps seen across FE
  • SAR quality assessment — does your self-evaluation match what inspectors would actually find?
  • Disaggregated outcome readiness — can you produce the data the inclusion domain requires?
  • Actionable recommendations ranked by inspection risk and urgency
